The Elks Lodge of Hagerstown will present their annual Flag Day Ceremony beginning at 7:00 PM with “Elk’s Grand March” – Mogensen, “Hail to the Flag” and “God Bless America” – Berlin
This week the HMB features Tim Gotwald, Flute Soloist, performing, Concertino for Flute ” by Chaminade and an encore to be determined.

This week the HMB features Rick Mogensen, Clarinet Soloist, performing “Ritmo Jondo” by Surinach and “In A Gentle Rain” by Smith. The HMB will also feature Dr. Jerry Rife, as this evening’s guest conductor.

TRIBUTE TO THE BIRTHDAY OF OUR NATION

This week the HMB features Marlin Barnes, Percussion Soloist, performing, “Xylophonia” by Green and some traditional Fife and Drum music.

This week the HMB features Nicole Albright, Saxophone Soloist, performing “Ballade” by Reed and an encore TBA. It is also Conductors’ Night and several members of the band who are conductors themselves will be taking up the baton to conduct the HMB.

This week the HMB features Dr. Neal Corwell, euphonium soloist with the U.S. Army Band.  He will be performing two selections, “Blue Bells of Scotland by Author Pryor and “Romance” by R. Vaughn Williams.

This week the HMB features Fred Gleason, Trombone Soloist, performing, “Concerto for Trombone” by Rimsky-Korsakov as well as another piece to be determined later.

This week the HMB features Lauren Bond, Bassoon Soloist, performing, the Mozart “Bassoon Concerto in B flat” as well as “Bassoonata” by Bennett. The band also welcomes Richard Rotz, Music Director of the Mercersburg Academy, to the podium to conduct a couple of pieces.
